Quick and Easy build. I've been adding foam board to these for year to increase durability. Spraying PlastiDip covered all the seams and gave it that flat white (almost 3d printed look). This was the easiest build yet. Also very comfortable to wear the mask backwards when you need a break.

I found the building of this mask really fun to do and surprising therapeutic too! The resulting mask is really solidly constructed and I am looking forward to trying a more challenging one next time.

Nasa Artemis 1 Launch Aborted Highlights: Second Attempt At Moon Mission On Saturday

With the release of ArtemiS SUITE 12.5, HEAD acoustics introduced a complete structural analysis package, offering Time Domain Animation, Operational Deflection Shape (ODS), Shape Comparison Tool and Modal Analysis. This will allow a unified software environment for simulation and project engineers to address structural dynamic issues within the ArtemiS SUITE with ease and efficiency.

Bridging measurements with simulation and analysis, HEAD acoustics decided to make structural analysis simple and straightforward for everyone by adding new modules to its tried-and-tested ArtemiS SUITE of software tools for sound and vibration analysis. With release 12.5 of the ArtemiS SUITE software, HEAD acoustics launched an integrated modal analysis tool to complete its structural analysis package.

With this tool, developers and project engineers can analyze all relevant data related to structural dynamic issues directly in one interactive software environment. In addition to efficiently performing modal and operational deflection shape analyses (ODS), ArtemiS SUITE enables users to visualize the effects of vibration with animations of the physical models and compare numerical simulation data with real measured data (Shape Comparison).

“The analysis of vibration shapes not only provides information on the sources and transmission paths of acoustic phenomena and noise. It additionally makes possible to identify and eliminate structural weak points, to improve durability, for example, " explains Dr. Aulis Telle, Managing Director Sound, Vibration and Perception at HEAD acoustics GmbH. "Structural analysis must therefore be incorporated into any development process as early as possible - in an early phase based on simulation models and later on for verification with the prototype."

At the core of the new software solution are vivid representations of structure analysis in the form of powerful 3D visualizations. Those can be used to analyze the dynamic behavior of components quickly and, above all, plastically. Transfer functions can be animated and compared with measurements and simulation data in the form of 3D oscillating shapes in the Shape Comparison Tool. An integrated and universally applicable measuring point library makes data acquisition particularly time-saving and economical. The measurement point library and traffic-light-based feedback system helps users to keep constant track of the data quality and analysis even during the measurement process, allowing them to work independently of other departments. The examination of ODS or impact measurement data in the interactive software environment is easy and intuitive.

“During development, we placed particular focus on usability as well as the accessible calculation and analysis processes in ArtemiS SUITE, " explains Dr. Udo Ammerahl, Product Manager Structural Analysis at HEAD acoustics. "The result is a tool that allows complex analyses to be completed without much prior knowledge. Troubleshooters and simulation engineers in particular become independent of other specialist departments in their daily work and reach their goals more quickly."

As soon as you mention Digital Art and the tools needed to create it, most people will instantly think Adobe Photoshop and while Photoshop is an incredible, versatile program for creating digital works of art it also comes with a hefty monthly subscription just to use it.

Photoshop, powerful as it is may not necessarily be the best fit for the fledgeling digital artist either, given its rather steep learning curve. Better by far for the rookie digital artist is to dive into the amazing world of free digital art software and experiment with different ways of creating art on your computer or tablet, such as simulated painting, structured drawing, image processing and even 3D modelling.

Fortunately, there are numerous free and open-source software programs out there that are of outstanding quality and give some of the commercial offerings a run for their money. Krita is a fully-featured drawing and painting application, available for Windows, macOS and Linux with an Android app currently in beta but unfortunately no iOS version at the moment due mainly to the Apple Stores licensing arrangements and Apples restrictions on open-source software in general.

Beautiful Brushes, Krita ships with over a hundred professionally created brushes, allowing the beginner digital artist to dive straight in and experiment with pencils, paints, inks, chalks, watercolours and practically any wet or dry painting medium you will ever need.

Best Free Drawing Software Programs

Unlike Krita, Autodesk Sketchbook is not open source and as a result, is available on all devices from desktops to tablets and even your mobile phone if you so desired.

If you are thinking of taking up 3D modelling either as a hobby or a full-time occupation but don’t want to spend a small fortune on 3D applications such as Autodesk’s Maya, which will set you back approximately £1, 800 or just over $2, 300 per year, then Blender is the software for you.

However, a lot of first-time users found it rather quirky and difficult to use, that is until it received a major overhaul in 2018 when Blender evolved into an almost entirely new application, with a massively improved user interface, easier to understand tools and a less steep learning curve.

The new and improved Blender has attracted a massive community of enthusiastic, dedicated users, who routinely share their knowledge through numerous Blender courses and tutorials, there is also a multitude of free Blender models and scenes available online that will get you up to speed fast with this magnificent piece of 3D software.

In a new study, researchers set out to quantify the effect that "ephemeral phenomena, " like sunsets and sunrises, can have on people.

Did You Know: Our Fastest Sunsets (sunrises) Happen During The Equinox? - Digital Art Sunrise Sunset Song Video

Have you ever wondered why you marvel at sunrises and sunsets and why you get the sudden urge to pull out your smartphone to capture that magical moment when they happen? A group of researchers have set out to quantify the effect that fleeting events, like sunsets and sunrises, can have on people.

Free Sunrise Stock Videos

Despite many research efforts aimed at examining the impact of nature on our mental health, most studies have assessed these effects under calm blue skies, according to the University of Exeter. Only a few research studies have actually considered how humans respond to variations in weather and the daily rhythms of the Sun. These are referred to as “ephemeral phenomena.”

The researchers set out to close this gap by using the latest computer graphics to show carefully controlled images of both urban and natural environments to more than 2, 500 participants. The participants found these scenes to be substantially more beautiful when they featured elements like sunrise and sunset than when they were viewed under sunny conditions at other times of the day.

Interestingly, the research also revealed that these ephemeral phenomena elicited awe. The feeling of awe is a difficult emotion to trigger, and research indicates that it has the potential to improve mood, enhance positive social behaviour, and increase positive emotions.

Apart from sunrises and sunsets, the paper published in the Journal of Environmental Psychology also considered rarer events like rainbows, rainstorms and starry and moonlit skies. All of these phenomena altered the extent to which the participants experienced beauty and awe in different landscapes.

More importantly, these changes were also behind variations in how the environments were valued. The researchers assessed this by asking participants how much they would be willing to pay to experience each scene in the real world. They found that participants were prepared to pay a premium of nearly 10 per cent to visit a natural setting at sunrise compared to under blue skies.

According to the research team, this kind of added value is normally attributed to more permanent features like scenic lakes or historic buildings. This suggests that encouraging people to experience sunsets and sunrises could help boost well-being and could be used as part of green prescribing, where nature plays a therapeutic role in mental health treatment.B ack in the dark days when the UK Film Council was merrily throwing money at the shameful Sex Lives of the Potato Men, British film-making legend Terence Davies was finding it impossible to fund a screen adaptation of Lewis Grassic Gibbon’s 1932 novel, Sunset Song, a hardscrabble tale of a young woman finding her identity – personal, national, spiritual – in rural northeast Scotland beneath the gathering clouds of the Great War. Despite the critical success of The House of Mirth, his 2000 adaptation of Edith Wharton’s novel, Davies feared he might never trouble our cinema screens again. It wasn’t until his superb, low-budget love letter to Liverpool, Of Time and the City, became the unexpected toast of Cannes in 2008 that the skies started to brighten for our pre-eminent auteur. Now, with a well-received 2011 adaptation of Terence Rattigan’s The Deep Blue Sea under his belt and the Emily Dickinson biopic, A Quiet Passion, already in the can, Davies’s long-delayed passion project finally reaches our screens. It has been worth the wait.

There is the abusive father, brilliantly played by Peter Mullan, who breathes both fury and pathos into the role of John Guthrie, a turn-of-the-century farming patriarch torn between the anger of devotion (he sings hymns while harvesting) and the demons of violence and lust (he beats his son and beds his wife “like a breeding sow”, the screams of sex and childbirth intermingled). There is the yearning female voice, Agyness Deyn providing internal monologue narration for Chris, who is torn between the beauty of the ancient Scottish land on which she toils, and the “sharp, clean and true” English words of an education that may yet take her away from all this. And there is unforgiving religion, from father’s belt to the damnation poured from the pulpit upon those (including Chris’s true love, Ewan) who have no enthusiasm for war, branded as “pro-German cowards” in league with an antichrist kaiser.

As inspirational). When the Guthrie family move house to accommodate their ever expanding brood, they do so to the strains of Wayfaring Stranger hauntingly sung by Jennifer John. On her wedding night, Chris performs a keening rendition of Flowers of the Forest, the music of which is woven into the very fabric of Grassic Gibbon’s text. Later, Ewan (Kevin Guthrie) sings a few line of Robert Burns’s The Lass That Made the Bed to Me, another song taken directly from the rhapsodic sacred source. Throughout, Davies’s aim remains true. He is perhaps the only film-maker in the world who could stage a tipsy rendition of Ladies of Spain without the slightest hint of a Spielberg reference (it wouldn’t surprise me if he’d never seen

What sings clearest, however, is Michael McDonough’s ravishing cinematography, a blend of 65mm celluloid stock and resiliently responsive digital that takes us from the darkened, coffee-coloured confines of candlelit interiors through glowing fields of gold and green and up into cloudy skies of blue, grey and white. There’s a touch of Terrence Malick as McDonough’s camera glides through verdant pastoral idylls (weather and funding variously led the production to Scotland, New Zealand and Luxembourg). Elsewhere we see hints of Vermeer as families huddle in semi-lit rooms, painterly compositions defined by an artist’s attention to detail. There are slow tracks and long pull-backs too – a Davies trademark – but McDonough brings his own sense of circling exploration, moving us forward even as the narrative folds back upon itself and once-loving men become brutalised beasts, crawling from the shadows, across floors and through mud, foreign and domestic.

Through it all, the land, like this exceptional director, endures. Davies is still sprightly as he turns 70, and I suspect his best work may be yet to come. Now that is something worth singing about.

Last month, a collaborative online art project created on Reddit took the internet by storm. The vast interactive artwork, called Place, allowed anyone to lay coloured tiles on its enormous canvas one pixel at a time. Each user was only able to add a single tile once every five minutes.

Working alone it was impossible to design anything substantial, so Place users collaborated in enormous decentralised teams, coordinating their tile placement through self-organised online communities. The result was a million-pixel battleground in which rival factions jostled for their preferred artworks to prevail.

National flags, cultural icons, memes and even Herzog & de Meuron's Hamburg Elbphilharmonie were drawn and then overwritten by competing online factions.

Isabella Harris Resume 2021

Place is a highpoint in the history of internet art. Its technicolour vitality flows from the thousands of people who contributed. Free and open, the project perfectly expresses the possibilities of art in the age of the World Wide Web.

Yet in recent months a very different kind of online art has taken up headlines – one that derives its value not from sharing, but from owning: Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs). An NFT is simply a unique chunk of data, like a digital certificate, whose ownership can be sold and verified using an online public ledger called a blockchain.

By connecting a media file like a jpeg, gif or video with its own certificate, it becomes possible to trade them. The media itself is not sold but the digital certificate linked to it can switch hands for as much as buyers are willing to pay.

Celina Jimenez 2018 Resume By Celina Jimenez

If you can convince enough people that a certificate linked to a piece of digital art you made is valuable then it becomes possible to make thousands of dollars flogging it in one of the numerous NFT marketplaces. Many celebrities, designers and artists have launched NFTs linked to their work, including Jeff Koons and Damien Hirst.Even beleaguered British chancellor Rishi Sunak has got in on the action byasking the UK treasury to create an NFT.

Big names and big sums, combined with global lockdowns that pushed many to adopt a more digital existence, have fueled international hype around NFTs propelling the burgeoning market to a value of $41 billion in 2021. This has prompted many to ask if NFTs are the future of art, but there are far more radical forms of digital art than the cultural dead end of NFTs.

Whether NFTs are here to stay or not, they are the most boring form of art ever created, centering value in nothing more than ownership.

Summa Cum Laude: Definition, Meaning, And Requirements

Owning art is the least interesting aspect of art. A great artwork might be pioneering in its use of media, arresting in its formal composition, or rich with symbolism. It might ask profound questions of its audience or simply elicit a feeling among those who experience it.

Ownership, however, does none of these things. Ownership is merely a clerical add-on to the practice of art-making – the dull transaction necessitated by an economic system based on property owners harvesting value from the work of others.

The relative merit between NFTs worth millions and pennies is nothing but the promise of how much others might pay to own them.

There Are Far More Radical Forms Of Digital Art Than The Dead End Of NFTs\\ - Digital Art Internships Dcum Recent

Interactive Advertising Bureau

In this sense, NFTs are the epitome of an industry lost to speculative investment – hallow avatars for late capitalism's broken relationship with the art and design worlds. They are the contemporary art market meeting its logical endpoint at which hype and hustle triumph over any other consideration.

Of course, the gallerists of Frieze and Basel have long used PR and spectacle to puff up the value of their collections, but the sheer banality of the NFT craze has reached a new level of tedium.

Digital art itself is not at fault. The aesthetic of many profitable NFT collections (gurning cartoon monkeys feature heavily) are certainly flat and derivative, but those qualities are not intrinsic to digital art. Digital art can, like Place, allow new forms of interactivity or, like remarkable computer games, immerse audiences in worlds as compelling as the best literature.

The Natural Capital Accounting Forum

NFTs, however, explore none of this potential, retreating into the cultural cul-de-sac of mere ownership. Shills will say that NFTs are a new means for struggling artists to make money, but this narrow justification misses many key points.

First, those best able to profit from the NFT bubble are those already in command of substantial followings, like the famous musicians Grimes, Eminem and Snoop Dogg, who all recently released lucrative NFT collections. If there is cash to be made from issuing tokens, it will mostly flow to the already wealthy few rather than the struggling many.

Second, minting an NFT is not free, requiring makers to buy into cryptocurrency exchanges at their own risk like a pyramid scheme. For all the designers who have successfully cashed in on the hype machine, many more will lose out, predominantly those least able to do so.

Good Evening. I'm George Graham Greeting Card By Robert Weber

Above all, NFTs erode the most radical and adventurous aspect of the internet: sharing. Sharing is a nourishing act of solidarity, fundamentally more enjoyable and resource-efficient than the kind of private, solitary ownership that consumerism promotes.

But every time something that could have been sold is shared, an opportunity to extract profit has been lost, and it is for this reason big tech and finance are cynically pouring resources into cryptocurrency innovations like NFTs.

As art, NFTs are boring beyond words, but as tools to commodify what was previously a digital commons they may be far more insidious – turning the internet from a place of sharing to a place of owning.
